"No illusions that different solution is possible"

BELGRADE -- PM Ivica Dačić says that "neither Serbs nor Albanians in Kosovo should be under illusions that a different solution than the Brussels agreement is possible".

He added that "Serbia stands behind the interest of its people in the province."

Commenting on announcements of representatives of Serbs in north Kosovo-Metohija that they will not participate in the coming local elections, Dačić said that "if Serbs want good for themselves, they should hold the normalization process in their own hands and not let it be imposed from the outside so that every other decision is against Serb interests."

“Serbia stands behind the interests of Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, but the manners of fighting for them have to change with time. There is a wall there, but do we have more Serb heads to run against it or we will just get around it,” Dačić said.

This process can succeed only if Serbs partake in it, he said.

“Are not the examples from the other parts of former Yugoslavia enough for them? No illusions should be created that a different solution is possible, this should not be done neither by Serbs nor Albanians,” Dačić told reporters in the Palace of Serbia.
