The EU representative in Serbia further stated over the weekend that the country "should do everything it can by June 28 regarding the implementation of the agreement on normalizing the relations with Pristina if it wants to get the green light from the European Commission." Serbia could get "green light" at end of June In June, the European Council will not be deciding about a date for the start of the talks, but rather about giving the “green light” for the negotiations, Degert said during an environmental action of cleaning up the Belgrade river island of Ada Ciganlija on Saturday. If Serbia gets the “green light” on June 28, the next step will be the creation of a negotiating team, he said, pointing out that such a team in Croatia was composed of about 2,000 experts in all fields. After that follows the preparation of a framework for the talks, setting out the responsibilities of Serbia and the EU, to be adopted and approved by the European Council. Only after screening the negotiating framework can the European Council decide on a date for the start of EU accession talks, said Degert. Degert at Ada Ciganlija (Tanjug) Tanjug
