BRUSSELS EU Delegation to Serbia head Vincent Degert has voiced hope that Aleksandar Vucic managed to eliminate the concern of Kosovo Serbs about the Brussels agreement. He added that he now expected progress in its implementation. EU representative hopes for implementation of deal "I believe it is very important that Vucic went there to explain the essence of the agreement, hear about the concerns that some people may have and perhaps eliminate some of the concerns over security," Degert told journalists at the Palace of Serbia. The EU ambassador expressed belief that Vucic explained how important the impact of the EU's guarantees for the implementation of the agreement and its content are. "This also applies to police, judiciary and other issues that were discussed," he said. "I believe it is very good that the talks were held and I hope that Vucic managed to convince the local interlocutors, both north and south of the Ibar River and not just part of them," Degert said. He added that progress in the adoption of the implementation plan and the start of the implementation itself are expected to take place soon. (Beta, file) Tanjug
