BELGRADE Nebojsa Stefanovic has said ahead of a new round of the Kosovo dialogue that he expected the Serbian delegation to be presented with "a much better offer." Stefanovic is the speaker of the Serbian parliament, and a deputy president of the ruling Serb Progressives (SNS). "Better offer" expected for Serbia in Brussels talks Stefanovic told the country's public broadcaster RTS on Tuesday that it would be "senseless if in spite of so much effort the Serbian delegation were presented with the same offer today (as in previous round)." “I sincerely hope that the offer will be incomparably better than the previous one, which was really nothing. There are things that Serbia does not want to and cannot give up on,” Stefanovic underlined. He said that Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic has never conditioned his departure for Brussels by participation of British and German representatives in the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue. “He has never set such conditions. I do not have the information whether they will participate in the dialogue, but that is of less importance. What is important is the result,” Stefanovic said. In the Brussels dialogue, Vucic and the Serbian delegation will try to fight for what is best at the moment for our people and country, he said. “I am certain that he will do all in his might to make sure that Tuesday's decisions are in the greatest interest of our country and all citizens,” said Stefanovic, who is also the speaker of the Serbian parliament. He said that a session of the parliament, at which the Serbian delegation will inform the MPs about the dialogue with Pristina, will be scheduled as soon as there is something concrete. The eighth round of the Belgrade-Pristina talks with the EU as the mediator will be staged in Brussels on Tuesday and the meeting should focus on the autonomy for Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija.
