Those who proposed the dismissal are not legally entitled to request it (the dismissal) in the given situation,” said Mesarovic who wasrelieved of her duty on Wednesday after 138 MPs voted in favor of the proposal. MPs of the opposition Democratic Party (DS) and Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) were against the proposal. Mesarovic pointed out that the MPs who dismissed her implemented the same sanction for their own unconstitutional actions. “I will remind you that I did not pass the unconstitutional regulation of the law and I did not appoint myself to those two positions,” she added. Mesarovic also rejected accusations that she was responsible for the failure of the judicial reform. “The only and real truth is that the judicial reform was determined and drafted by parliament at the government’s proposal, based on the Constitution and Constitutional Law and laws that were later passed. The High Judicial Council (VSS) and I as its president did as the government and parliament determined,” she explained. Nata Mesarovic (Tanjug, file) Blic Tanjug
