BELGRADE Ruling SNS MP Milovan Drecun stated on Monday that he saw "no reason for early elections to be held", but added that "the situation might change rapidly." Drecun told public broadcaster RTS that the SNS is strongly committed to the fight against corruption and organized crime and that the issue of possible new elections might open if the coalition partners were not able to follow the party or started to block it. SNS official sees "no reason for elections for now" Commenting on Prime Minister Ivica Dacic admission that he met with Rodoljub Radulovic but was not aware at the time that he was a member of Darko Saric gang, Drecun said that "it is evident that something did not function well in the security system earlier, especially between the police director and the interior minister". Drecun, who is also the president of the Parliament Committee on Kosovo andr Metohija, said that the forthcoming meeting between Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic and Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga will show that Belgrade is truly committed to peacefully resolving the Kosovo issue and that this will contribute to stabilization in the region and Serbia's EU path. Nothing is definite when it comes to the province's status, he added. "Tomislav Nikolic will not discuss technical issues with Jahjaga. They will open the most sensitive political issues, which means that Pristina has accepted that nothing is definite and that it has to make an agreement with Belgrade on the final status," Drecun concluded.
