BELGRADE Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic says that "nobody had opened the issue of a UN seat for Kosovo" during the negotiations in Brussels. He underscored that Serbia "had never opened the issue". Kosovo’s UN seat was not discussed, PM says “Absolutely nobody, in public or unofficial appearances or at meetings in Brussels, has opened the issue,” Dacic told Radio Television of Serbia (RTS). He noted that there were pressures not to block Kosovo’s membership in some international organizations, adding that it was a well-known fact and that it had already been publically mentioned in the EU. “The issue is absolutely unacceptable to us without a comprehensive solution for the issue of Kosovo and Metohija,” the prime minister explained. He reiterated that it would be possible to discuss something like that only if a comprehensive solution was discussed. German Ambassador to Serbia Heinz Wilhelm said that Kosovo’s UN seat was one of the issues that should be discussed in Brussels. He later said that a UN seat for Kosovo was not a topic that should be discussed today and that it was a possible result of the Belgrade-Pristina political dialogue. Serbian parliament's Committee on Kosovo Chairman Milovan Drecun said that the ambassador's statement was a “deliberate provocation”. Ivica Dacic (Beta) Tanjug
