NOVI SAD Serbia's First Deputy PM Aleksandar Vucic has stated that the state acted in accordance with the law when it removed a controversial monument in Presevo. He said that he expected the state authorities to find a solution for the removal of a memorial plaque in Novi Pazar dedicated to Acif-effendi, who was declared a war criminal in 1945, after World War II. Speaking about the removal of the memorial plaque to Aćif-effendi, who was credited with organizing the Muslims and the fight against the anti-occupying forces and received the medal Iron Cross Second Class from Nazi Germany, Vučić told journalists in Novi Sad that he expected certain solutions from the state authorities, above all from the Justice Ministry.
