BELGRADE The opposition Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) on Tuesday demanded that Prime Minister Ivica Dacic should resign over a remark he made concerning Kosovo. Speaking to journalists earlier in the day, Dacic said that "Serbia could discuss a seat for Kosovo in the United Nations, but in that case Pristina has to give something too". Opposition party calls on PM to resign over Kosovo remark "The statement made by the president of the government, Ivica Dacic, that he was ready to discuss Kosovo's admission to the United Nations represents a complete downfall into an open anti-state policy," DSS spokesman Petar Petkovic said in a written statement. It added that the DSS - a party led by former Yugoslav president and Serbian PM Vojislav Kostunica - would oppose in the most resolute manner "Dacic's intention to bring Kosovo into the UN". "That is the pinnacle of a policy of capitulation which is being conducted by Dacic. Nobody has so far made a statement of this kind in the name of Serbia. With it, Dacic took away his own right to lead Serbia. For that reason, Dacic should resign immediately as prime minister," the statement concluded. Tanjug
