Defense minister tours Ground Safety Zone
Serbian Defense Minister Aleksandar Vučić visited Serbian Army (VS) troops in Base Jug near the southern town of Bujanovac on Sunday.

BELGRADE, BUJANOVAC Serbian Defense Minister Aleksandar Vucic visited Serbian Army (VS) troops in Base Jug near the southern town of Bujanovac on Sunday. Vucic then visited Dobrosin Base near the administrative line with Kosovo where he was informed about VS activities and security situation in the area. Defense minister tours Ground Safety Zone Fourth Brigade Commander Brigadier General Milosav Simovic submitted a report to the defense minister and VS Army Chief Ljubisa Dikovic. He noted that the “situation in the Ground Safety Zone is stable but sensitive”. He added that the biggest security threats in the last several years were attacks on police, human trafficking, cattle trafficking and stealing of timber.
