PODGORICA The honorary president of the opposition Democrats, Boris Tadic, has described a suggestion made by opposition DSS party leader Vojislav Kostunica as "immoral". Kostunica, who in the past served as Yugoslav president and Serbian prime minister, believes that a final solution for Kosovo "should be frozen for a future time". Ex-president says frozen conflict idea is "immoral" But Tadic, Serbia's former president, believes that the "frozen conflict idea" would be leaving the Kosovo issue for future generations to solve, and was therefore "deeply immoral". According to Tadic, who spoke for Podgorica's Dan newspaper, the practical consequences of accepting Kostunica's ideas would mean that Serbia would be "introduced into a zone of an impossible solution". He further stated that "it will soon be known" whether President Tomislav Nikolic would accept Kostunica's suggestion. As for Nikolic's platform on Kosovo, Tadic said there would be "no credible judgment" on the document until its final version had been released. Tadic also stated that he regretted that Serbia did not join the EU during his mandate, which, he said, was his goal. Boris Tadic (Tanjug, file) Beta Dan
