Ex-minister leaves opposition Democratic Party

BELGRADE Milan Markovic, a former cabinet minister, has resigned as MP and decided to no longer be a member of the Democratic Party (DS), B92 learned on Friday. This came a day after the DS Main Board announced that all party members who in the past served as ministers should resign as MPs. The case concerned a yacht which Markovic did not list in his property report. He responded to the charges by saying that the yacht was a present to his wife made by her father. Previously, other former ministers from the ranks of the DS returned their mandates in the Serbian parliament, including Oliver Dulic, Snezana Markovic, and former PM Mirko Cvetkovic.
