BELGRADE Serbia's Economy and Finance Minister says that all important politicians in Serbia "talked with" imprisoned tycoon Miroslav Miskovic. However, noted Dinkic, while this list includes everyone from Zoran Djindjic and Tomislav Nikolic, as well as himself, the owner of Delta Holding "never gave him anything". Minister Dinkic: Delta owner "gave me nothing" “That does not mean that I received something from him or that he asked for something in return. How he behaved with others, I do not know,” Dinkic told B92 TV in Belgrade on Monday. The leader of the United Regions of Serbia (URS) also noted that it was "a distinctive characteristic of normal people to talk with everyone", and then "make decisions on their own": “I think that his influence on the formation of the government has been exaggerated. Never could anyone - neither a foreign factor nor domestic one - influence the government's work,” Dinkic stated. The greatest achievement of this government is that no one is interfering in the investigation, and that there is the will of all partners in the ruling coalition to let investigative bodies do their job in peace, he added. Asked whether that means that someone had previously exerted an influence to ensure that the case remain closed, Dinkic said that he did not refer to this case in particular, but that influence had been exerted in relation to various cases, and that there had been a selective justice. “It is important that this case be completed in court,” Dinkic said. Asked to comment on allegations of his links with Miskovic, considering that his associate Vesna Arsic as well as former Director of the State Health Insurance Institute Svetlana Vukajlovic both previously worked for Delta, Dinkic said these allegations were "absurd", because the company "hires 20,000 people, including some good professionals". Dinkic also distanced himself from dubious privatizations, stressing that during the privatization period for which Miskovic is charged, he had been at the National Bank of Serbia while others had been carried out while the Democratic Party of Serbia had been running the Ministry of Economy. Commenting on his relationship with coalition partners, Dinkic stated that his cooperation with SNS party leader and First Deputy PM Aleksandar Vucic was "excellent", and that his opinion about Vucic's party had changed - "because the Serb Progressives (SNS) have nothing to do with the Serb Radicals (SRS)". But Dinkic was not as pleased about his former coalition partners, the now opposition Democrats (DS), whom he accused of having attempted to destroy his party "and himself", and specified that this was true "first and foremost of Boris Tadic".
