Serbian parliament's Committee on Kosovo Chairman Milorad Drecun has said that he postponed a meeting of the body that was scheduled for Thursday.

BELGRADE Serbian parliament's Committee on Kosovo Chairman Milorad Drecun has said that he postponed a meeting of the body that was scheduled for Thursday. He explained that the session was postponed as Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic would meet with representatives of Serbs from northern Kosovo later on Thursday. Committee on Kosovo postpones session “I postponed this session acting on the recommendation of parliament Speaker Nebojsa Stefanovic, who addressed me because a meeting between Serbs from northern Kosovo and Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic will take place on the same day,” Drecun told Tanjug. “Another reason for not holding tje meeting at this time is due to having head of the Serbian government's Office for Kosovo Aleksandar Vulin and head of Belgrade's team in the technical dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, Dejan Pavicevic, who were invited to take part in the meeting of the Committee on Kosovo, attending the meeting between Nikolic and the representatives of northern Kosovo Serbs,! Drecun said. He said he would duly inform members of parliament and the general public about a new date of the meeting. The Committee was supposed to discuss a report on the work of the Office for Kosovo in the first hundred days of its work, the implementation of the agreements reached with the provisional institutions in Pristina to date and activities so far of the Serbian War Crimes Prosecutor's Office concerning the trial of former Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) commander Ramush Haradinaj before the Hague Tribunal. “I postponed this session acting on the recommendation of parliament Speaker Nebojša Stefanović, who addressed me because a meeting between Serbs from northern Kosovo and Serbian President Tomislav Nikolić will take place on the same day,” Drecun told Tanjug.

“Another reason for not holding tje meeting at this time is due to having head of the Serbian government's Office for Kosovo Aleksandar Vulin and head of Belgrade's team in the technical dialogue between Belgrade and Priština, Dejan Pavićević, who were invited to take part in the meeting of the Committee on Kosovo, attending the meeting between Nikolić and the representatives of northern Kosovo Serbs,!
