No compromise on Belgrade majority, mayor says

BELGRADE Belgrade Mayor and Democratic Party (DS) leader Dragan Djilas has said that he will not make any compromises when it comes to Belgrade. He added that he was sure that the DS would win back citizens’ trust. Commenting on a possible change of the ruling majority in Belgrade, Djilas said that he respected Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) leader Aleksandar Vucic for withdrawing from the city assembly and “clearly said that he would not try to become a mayor through various calculations”. “Is somebody else will dare to change the will of the Belgrade citizens, I do no know. But I know that they will do their best to represent me and people around me as criminals, thieves and billionaires. This is a price you have to pay but I will not make any compromises in Belgrade, regardless of talks and articles in papers,” the mayor stressed.
