BRUSSELS The EC has acknowledged the acquittal of Ramush Haradinaj and stressed that it was "now crucial to continue the process of reconciliation and cooperation". EU says acquittal "won't have impact" on dialogue Stano said that the Hague Tribunal (ICTY) is "an independent institution", and that its rulings are "as a rule, not commented in Brussels". "However, I would like to underline how important it is in this context for the partners in the western Balkan region to continue to work on reconciliation and strengthening of good neighborly relations," Stano said. He said that Thursday's verdict "will not have a considerable impact" on the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, the new round of which is scheduled for December 4. "The dialogue is future-oriented, and I do not see any link to Thursday's verdict," Stano said, adding that the EC will continue to encourage both parties to carry on their engagement with a view to achieving the necessary results.
