BELGRADE MPs of the Serbian parliament voiced different stands regarding the continuation of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue under the EU auspices in Brussels. MPs of the ruling majority pointed out that the most important result achieved during the Thursday meeting between Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic and head of the Kosovo interim government Hasim Taci is the fact that there will be no unilateral actions in the field. MPs offer different stands on continuation of dialogue On the other hand, opposition MPs expressed criticism of the Serbian prime minister because of the fact that he went to Brussels without the platform for talks, which should be adopted in the National Assembly. MP of the ruling Serb Progressive Party (SNS) and chairman of the Serbian parliament Committee on Kosovo and Metohija Milovan Drecun stated that progress has been made in the continuation of the dialogue in terms of border management at the administrative crossing of the southern Serbian province. Officials accepted the propositions of the Serbian government in Brussels regarding the implementation of the pilot project in the takeover of crossings Merdare and Konculj which should be carried out at the remaining four administrative crossings in case the first two prove successful, Drecun said. In addition to this, the Serbian prime minister clearly pointed out that shutdown of Serbian institutions in northern Kosovo and Metohija is out of the question. Dubravka Filipovski of the New Serbia (NS) as the party in the ruling coalition believes that the continuation of the dialogue is a confirmation that Serbia is not obstructing the normalization of relations with Kosovo Albanians. Former minister for Kosovo and Metohija and MP of the opposition Democratic Party Goran Bogdanovic noted that DS is concerned over the fact that dialogue has continued without the government platform and added that his party objects to the manner and non-transparency of the talks. He called on the Serbian side in the dialogue to be cautious, especially with regard to crossings because it is still unknown who would be deployed on the spot and who will get the money collected there which should go to the municipalities in northern Kosovo. Bojan Djuric of the Liberal Democratic Party and Aleksandra Jerkov of the League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina voiced complaints against Dacic because he went to Brussels without the government platform for the talks and did not consult parliament previously. No platform which would serve as a guideline for Dacic on how he should conduct the talks was not adopted in the Serbian parliament, Jerkov said and added that it is dangerous to conduct talks without parliament's consent. Sandra Raskovic-Ivic of the opposition Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) stated that the new talks are bad and recalled that her party is against the implementation of the agreements reached during the mandate of Borislav Stefanovic in the previous government. She told Tanjug that Dacic did not have a mandate for the talks with Taci, who is a proven enemy of Serbia suspected of serious crimes. (Tanjug) Tanjug
