“We need sustainable solution for Kosovo”

Serbia’s Deputy PM Rasim Ljajić has said that Belgrade should look for a sustainable solution for Kosovo and that it certainly will not recognize Kosovo.

BELGRADE Serbia’s Deputy PM Rasim Ljajic has said that Belgrade should look for a sustainable solution for Kosovo and that it certainly will not recognize Kosovo. He added that Serbia would not be asked to recognize Kosovo’s unilaterally declared independence. “We need sustainable solution for Kosovo” Ljajic has said that the government’s results have exceeded his expectations. He believes that the four-point plan that was drafted by then President Boris Tadic is a good basis that should be used to find a solution for Kosovo. According to him, the plan contains solid principles and it would get support of the opposition and a wider consensus would be reached on the issue. Ljajic told daily Blic the first serious assessment of the government could be made in a year. He believes that the recovery of the country will be gradual and that it is important to change the economic policy. “We need to start producing and exporting something.
