BELGRADE Parliament speaker Nebojsa Stefanovic says Deputy PM Aleksandar Vucic has support of the parliamentary majority and government in combat against corruption. He added and that the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) also supported him. “Deputy PM Vucic has support in combat against corruption” Commenting on the statements of the SNS leader who said that businessman Miroslav Miskovic wanted a different government and a different parliamentary majority, Stefanovic told Radio Television of Serbia (RTS) that he believed this would remain a mere wish of an individual. “Perhaps Mr. Miskovic and some other people want a different government but everyone can rest assured that Vucic has the absolute support of the parliamentary majority and government bodies in the fight against crime and corruption,” said Stefanovic who is also a member of the SNS. He noted that everyone should be aware that the parliament, government and the country's leadership intend to tackle crime and corruption seriously and reform the country so as to ensure an exit from the economic crisis, and added that nobody can stand in their way. Vucic stated on Tuesday that those who believed they could draw an upper hand over the government were wrong and added that Miskovic as the owner of Delta company did not have more power than the state. The deputy prime minister noted that he told no lies a few days ago when he said that Miskovic wanted to oust him and SNS from the government, adding that the Delta owner got pretty engaged in closing alliances with everyone on Serbia's political, media and economic scene who could cause harm both to the party and its leader personally.
