BELGRADE Serbian PM Ivica Dacic told a conference in Belgrade on Monday that relations between his country and the EU "have never been better". The reason for this, he explained, is that the two sides "do not wish to lie to one another". "Serbia-EU relations have never been better" "Before, there were occasions when in the morning we lied to the EU, in the afternoon to our partners from the East, and in the evening, we lied to ourselves. We do not wish to lie to one another, there's no reason for lies, and we will do everything for our country to become closer to, and join the EU," Dacic stated. He was addressing the Serbia Economic Summit when he also noted that "the EU officials said it themselves" that relations between Serbia and their organization "have never been better". The prime minister added that "Serbia will do everything" so that the EU does not pose conditions which Belgrade cannot fulfill. (Beta/AP) Beta
