Dialogue is best way to reach goals, CoE rep says

BELGRADE The policy the Council of Europe (CoE) pursues concerning Kosovo has not changed, as we have remained status-neutral, respecting Resolution 1244. This is according to CoE Secretary General Thorbjorn Jagland. Dialogue is best way to reach goals, CoE rep says “The majority of the EU member countries consider the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina to be the best means to achieve the goal,” Jagland told Radio Television of Serbia (RTS), adding that the CoE supported the commitment of the new Serbian government to continuing the dialogue. According to him, it is absolutely necessary to investigate the allegations about organ trafficking in Kosovo contained in the relevant report by Dick Marty. “The right thing to do is to continue what has already been started,” the CoE secretary general said, pointing out that the investigation was being carried out by EULEX and that the CoE did not have the authority to lead the investigation. “We have the authority to say what has to be done, and stress that justice must be done in this case.
