BELGRADE Serbia’s First Deputy PM Aleksandar Vucic told B92, commenting on Oliver Dulic's case, that this “is just a beginning of the fight that cannot be stopped”. Former Environment and Spatial Planning Minister Dulic is suspected of abuse of office. Police tried to arrest him on Saturday morning but he pleaded immunity. He told a press conference later on Saturday that he was innocent and that he would renounce the immunity he has as an MP. Deputy PM: We will continue combat against corruption “I was expecting this and I said that my colleagues and I will be fiercely attacked and that they will mention nonsense about political persecution. But since they are saying that this is the end of something, I want to inform the Serbian citizens that this is just a beginning. This fight cannot be stopped, changes cannot be stopped,” Vucic told B92. He said that the state would continue to fight against corruption and crime and that courts and prosecutors would do their job independently. “We will see what will happen in the end,” the deputy prime minister stressed. He noted that he was convinced that Serbia would successfully tackle one the biggest evils of the modern society – corruption. Aleksandar Vucic (Beta) B92
