BELGRADE Serbia's First Deputy PM and Defense Minister Aleksandar Vucic will start a three-day visit to Cyprus on Tuesday, it has been announced. Vucic's trip will coincide with an informal gathering of EU defense ministers. Serbian defense minister visiting Cyprus Vucic will have a series of bilateral meetings with defense ministers from EU member countries and candidate countries with a view to advancing cooperation in defense and regional security, the Ministry of Defense said in a release. He is announced to visit the Serbian army contingent taking part in the UN peacekeeping operation UNFICYP in Cyprus, and meet with the UNFICYP chief of staff and chief of mission. On the occasion, Vucic will present Serbia's foreign policy goals and the current state of its EU integration process, as well as the Defense Ministry's capacities and engagement in activities under the Common Security and Defense Policy, with a focus on participation in EU crisis management operations.
