The prime minister-designate told reporters after a meeting with religious leaders that it was important for Serbia that the government would have a wide support, much bigger than the previous governments that had support of just a little over 126 MPs. According to him, changes and amendments to the Law on Government and Ministries should be finished today and all consultations on the future executive power have been completed. Dacic noted that the number of ministries would have to be increased from the planned 15 but he did not say the exact number. When asked who will be the SPS whip in parliament, he said that the decision would be made by Monday, explaining that he was the one who had been elected to the position but that some changes would certainly be made. The PM-designate said he expected the laws on government and ministries to be adopted by the end of next week and that the new government would be formed afterward. He said that election of parliament officials and forming of bodies would begin on July 23 and that parliament would then discuss the laws on government and ministries.
