They are performing routine traffic control of vehicles that are entering northern Kosovo at the checkpoint.

Polish KFOR troops have been present at the checkpoint in the village of Tresava since 9:00 CET on Thursday.

KFOR troops used to have similar checkpoints on the road which connects central Serbian town of Novi Pazar and northern Kosovo but they were mostly located further inside the Kosovo territory while the one they set up this morning is located right next to the administrative line.

The Novi Pazar- Lešak road is one of the alternative roads that northern Kosovo Serbs use.
