Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) official Slobodan Samardzic says the DSS hopes the newly elected president will start a “new era” in relations with the EU. He said that Slovak Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak was recently in Serbia in order to bring the latest ultimatums regarding Kosovo. New president “should start new relations with EU” “It is now up to Tomislav Nikolic to make a move in accordance with his pre-election promises and we from the DSS hope that Nikolic will reject such ultimatums and that he would start a new era in Serbia’s relations with the EU that will lead to the best policy which is Serbia’s political and military neutrality,” the DSS official pointed out. According to him, it is prime time to inform the Serbian public about the ultimatums. “It is now up to Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic and his party leader Boris Tadic to make a move and to answer for their ‘both the EU and Kosovo policy’ before the state and the nation,” he said.
