Oliver Ivanovic says he does not expect to see a major change in the policy on Kosovo after Tomislav Nikolic assumes office of Serbia's new president . In an interview for Tanjug on Monday, the official of the Ministry for Kosovo said that he expected the future government to conduct a policy on Kosovo which would be similar to the one implemented so far. "Nikolic's victory will not change Kosovo policy" "There are certain constitutional limitations as regards the deviations from the policy conducted so far," Ivanovic said and added that Kosovo is an integral part of Serbia and that there will be no changes in this field until the Serbian Constitution is changed. Ivanovic said that the Serbian political scene lacks both the will and political force to make changes in the Constitution as regards the provisions on Kosovo. He underscored that Serbia's attitude toward the part of the territory which constitutes an open political issue can be anticipated depending on the manner in which the government would be set up. Ivanovic believes that a wider consensus for the establishment of a coherent policy toward the Kosovo issue is necessary. "At this point, all we can say is that it is very important to achieve an agreement between the Serbian government, president and parliament, which means that almost everyone would have to be engaged in the definition of the policy toward Kosovo," Ivanovic said. He believes it would be "illusory to think a full consensus could be reached" but that "minimum consensus is something that officials need to insist on". Tanjug
