Russian envoy: We respect Serbian people's choice "Russia respects the Serbian people's choice and is willing to continue developing the bilateral relations gradually, independently of the political events inside the two countries," he stated, adding that it fitted perfectly the history of the relations between the two nations. "Russia expects the completion of the necessary constitutional and other procedures related to the formation and start of operation of the new legislative and executive authorities," the ambassador pointed out. "Immediately after that, Moscow is willing to re-establish business contacts related to all areas of mutual interest," he noted. "There is good foundation for that," Konuzin remarked, explaining that bilateral agreements had already been harmonized or in the process of harmonization, that there were plans to make contacts and conduct consultations and that projects were being worked on. "The problems relaitng to current cooperation issues must be addressed," he said. "There are plans involving billions and decades," the top Russian diplomat in Serbia noted, and added that the cooperation between Russia and Serbia "has a safe future".
