The upcoming elections will be crucial for the next ten years in Serbia, Democratic Party (DS) presidential candidate Boris Tadic said on Thursday morning. “I think these are extremely important elections, they are of crucial importance for the next ten years in Serbia bearing in mind economic indicators of foreign policy's tendencies and challenges that Serbia has been facing all these years,“ he stressed. Upcoming elections crucial for Serbia, Tadic says Tadic expressed belief that a system which gave results when it came to foreign investments, technological renewal of the country and macroeconomic policy had been established in Serbia. “I think we are on the right track, the track of a stable development,” he told Radio Television of Serbia (RTS). “This is why the elections are very important, whether we will continue with changes, progress or have uncertainty that I can say would be devastating for the Serbian society,” the DS leader noted. He added that there was no chance of economic development if Serbia failed to continue the foreign policy it had led in the previous four years. “We have to continue this regional policy and this foreign policy is one of key conditions of economic development. Investments come with it,” Tadic said and added that the foreign policy also included progress in the country’s EU integration process.
