Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Hajredin Kuci has stated that force will be used as the last resort to solve problems in northern Kosovo. He warned opposition representatives to show a "measured approach" when it comes to "that part of the country", Pristina-based Albanian language daily Epoka e Re has reported. K. He added that Brussels and Washington needed to exert stronger pressure. “It is necessary for the local and international factors to act jointly in order to solve the problems,” the Kosovo deputy PM noted, stressing that normalization of relations in the north required patience and time. “We are aware that a key to the solution of the problems in northern Kosovo is an honest cooperation with KFOR and EULEX and Serbs who are citizens of Kosovo in the north. Such cooperation guarantees success and concrete results in the north,” Kuci was quoted as saying. According to him, the use of force would be the last resort. “The use of force will be the last resort and we will act if necessary,” Kuci said, adding that the Kosovo government was not in favor of the use of force.
