Serbia's PM Mirko Cvetkovic and National Council of Switzerland President Hansjorg Walter called on Tuesday for better cooperation between the two countries. Cvetkovic told Walter Serbia wanted to continue improving its relations with Switzerland related to economy and politics. Walter said his country was willing to continue improving the relations with Serbia, commended the reforms conducted so far and added he believed Serbia would keep the central role in the region. Commenting on economic cooperation, Cvetkovic stressed that numerous Swiss investments were being realized successfully in Serbia and that the fact could encourage other investors to come and invest in Serbia, which has a competitive system of investment subsidies and tax relief for foreign investments. The prime minister stated also that Serbia's and Switzerland's consecutive presidencies over the OSCE in 2014 and 2015 were an opportunity to improve the two countries' relations even further. Walter is on a three-day visit to Serbia, which he started on Monday by meeting with Parliament Speaker Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic. Dacic, who is also the deputy prime minister, expressed satisfaction that this issue will in future be resolved in cooperation with the EU. Noting that the two countries' cooperation in terms of internal affairs is at a high level, Dacic said that he glad that the EU has realized that the problem of bogus asylum seekers cannot be resolved without alteration of the EU legislation. According to the directive of the European Commission, which is to enter force in June, if one's asylum request is denied, they will not be able to enter the country in the coming two years, Dacic noted. “Such a ban on EU entrance will resolve the problem to a great extent. I am grateful to the Swiss authorities for their help, and I hope for a continuation of cooperation,” Dacic said. Dacic confirmed that Serbia and Switzerland have a number of international agreements, including cooperation in combating organized crime and addressing the problem of migrations. “Our cooperation is excellent, we had a large number of joint actions. The search for a considerable number of works of art, which are suspected of being in Serbia, is still underway,” Dacic underlined. Tanjug
