“Coalition led by DS will win”

Democratic Party (DS) leader Boris Tadic said on Sunday that a coalition led by his party would win the May 6 elections. He explained that the coalition led by the DS offered a modern, European and strong Serbia. “Coalition led by DS will win” “People who said that hundreds of Muslims should be killed, who called for violence and threatened (former Prime Minister) Zoran Djindjic ahead of the assassination cannot offer this choice to the citizens,“ the DS leader said at a pre-election convention in the central Serbian city of Kragujevac. He said that the DS members were ready to take the risk and the biggest responsibility and stressed that they had not changed their opinion and stances for 22 years and that this had been their choice, just like the citizens would have a choice to choose a modern and European Serbia. He stressed that people who threatened Muslims and called for violence could not offer the same choice. “I am convinced that those people cannot offer safety to every child in Serbia and people in Serbia want security and the citizens want someone to run Serbia responsibly,” Tadic noted. He added that those parties that changed their policies every week or year were not reliable and that they could not secure Serbia’s EU pathway. “We are proud because we have won the EU candidate status and the citizens have been those who carried the very difficult reforms.
