Democratic Party (DS) official Bozidar Djelic says the fact Serbia has won EU candidate status shows there is a synergy between the EU and Kosovo goals. "By defending the European idea, Serbia has managed to find difficult compromises, which were useful for the Serbs in Kosovo and our whole country, and at the same time has come closer to our European goal," he told Tanjug after a forum on European integration, organized by the Belgrade municipality of Vracar and the DS. “Synergy between EU and Kosovo goals exists” According to him, the future government, which he has no doubt will be led by the DS, will have as its top priority to "resolve what needs to be resolved" so that Serbia will get a date for starting accession talks by the end of the year.
