Between themselves, the ruling Democrats and the opposition Progressives will likely win more than 60% of votes in the next election, surveys have shown. However, there is a possibility that elections will be repeated, according to Director of Ipsos Strategic Marketing Srdjan Bogosavljevic, who spoke for Novi Magazine weekly. "Elections could fail to produce government" Parliamentary elections in Serbia are expected to be scheduled in March, and are likely to take place in May. “If either of these parties goes lower than 24 percent, it will be considered a failure”, Bogosavljevic said. There is a possibility that neither of the parties will be able to secure a majority in the parliament, and that elections may have to be repeated, he believes. Asked whether "a broad SNS-DS coalition" was possible, Bogosavljevic said that such a coalition "did not look feasible to him, despite the fact that such an alliance could secure a stable parliamentary majority". "This is why new elections can easily happen," Bogosavljevic concluded. Ipsos Strategic Marketing surveys show that only thee politicians in Serbia have rankings which are improving: the mayor of Belgrade and deputy leader of the DS, Dragan Djilas, leader of the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic, and Mayor of Jagodina and leader of United Serbia (JS) Dragan Markovic Palma.
