The government European Integration Office Director Milica Delevic said on Sunday in Belgrade that "conditions that were set in December need to be fulfilled". When asked whether Serbia would get the EU candidate status in March she said that any evaluation involves assessing what had been done, but should also take into account the time remaining to meet the requirements. “Serbia must fulfill all EU conditions” “These conditions are clear and related to the achievement of regional representation arrangements, implementing agreements reached between Belgrade and Pristina, including the integrated management of crossings, freedom of movement for EULEX and conditions for carrying out its mandate in the entire territory of Kosovo,” Delevic told Tanjug. She said that encouraging messages had come from Germany and the U.S. in recent days, but that the most important progress that must be made was in meeting the requirements set in December, when granting the candidate status to Serbia was postponed. Delevic described the recent visit by European mediator Robert Cooper to Belgrade as a good preparation for reaching a compromise solution that could be the basis for the convening of next round of dialogue. Asked whether Germany would this time again hold the key to the decision to grant Serbia candidate status, she said that every decision required the consensus of the votes of all member-states. Delevic also said that the European Council did not mention any other conditions except those related to the Kosovo issue. Milica Delevic (Beta, file) Tanjug
