EU facilitator Robert Cooper should visit Serbia next week. A date for the continuation of the talks is also expected to be set soon. Sources from the EU have confirmed that Cooper will visit both Pristina and Belgrade next week in order to see how much progress could be made, primarily regarding Kosovo’s participation in regional meetings. EU facilitator to visit Belgrade next week

Belgrade team chief Borislav Stefanović expects that a solution for Kosovo's regional representation will be reached in the next round of talks.

“We will see in these talks how much progress can be made and whether an agreement on Priština’s regional representation can be found, and further continuation of the dialogue depends on it,“ Stefanović told Beta news agency.

He added that the exact date for the continuation of the talks would be known if progress was made regarding respect of the UN Security Council Resolution 1244.

Sources from the EU have confirmed that Cooper will visit both Priština and Belgrade next week in order to see how much progress could be made, primarily regarding Kosovo’s participation in regional meetings.

According to the sources, this would also help the European Council decide whether to grant Serbia the EU candidate status in March or not.
