KFOR Spokesman Uwe Nowitzki said Thursday the international forces will continue removing barricades. He added that this was not the "main important issue" for solving the situation in northern Kosovo. KFOR to continue removing barricades "Removal of the barricades belongs to the overall context of the situation in the north, but it is not the main important issue. The main important issue is that we achieve a situation that all the sides are talking to each other and that they start looking forward and acting in the way they look forward," Nowitzki told Tanjug. According to him, KFOR "might have to remove barricades in the future," because it is there to ensure freedom of movement. "Removing barricades only to remove barricades is not the way forward," said the KFOR spokesman. Commenting on the incidents at the barricades, Nowitzki stressed protests as such were a good thing. "I think protest is good, and KFOR actually respects the protest as long as it is legal and an expression of a bad feeling of the people, as we did in the past. But we do not accept any violence against KFOR soldiers because we are there to ensure freedom of movement," he explained. (Tanjug)
