Opposition DSS leader Vojislav Kostunica says that Serbia should cooperate with the EU, particularly in the economy, because the EU market is very important. Serbia should not isolate itself, be alone and slam the door on the EU, rather it should cooperate with it to the extent to which it is in its interest, Kostunica told Radio and Television of Serbia. "Serbia should have economic cooperation with EU" Noting that the development of the country is important for its people, he reminded that there is also a big political problem in cooperation with the EU - Kosovo, which cannot be solved without Serbia. He pointed out there are non-EU member countries which have highly developed economic relations with the Union, such as Russia. The DSS leader reminded the point of the draft declaration on Kosovo, which his party submitted to the parliament, is to start new talks in line with Resolution 1244 and under the auspices of the UN Security Council. He stressed that the current dialogue was interrupted because of the activities of the illegal institutions of Kosovo supported by KFOR, and that if negotiations cannot continue, they should go back to where they can take place - under UN Security Council auspices.
