Serbian President Boris Tadic’s office denied Thursday that the president and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton discussed partition of Kosovo last week. Belgrade-based daily Danas wrote in its online edition, quoting diplomatic sources, that Clinton believed the meeting was without content, and that she did not hear anything new which would convince her Belgrade was still not playing the “Kosovo partition card”. Tadic, Clinton didn’t discuss partitition of Kosovo "Clinton expected to find out about some new plan or initiative for Kosovo from Tadic, but she heard only what she already knew, including the story about efforts for Serbia's European integration and excellent relations with the U.S., with 'red lines' in Kosovo, which Belgrade cannot cross," Danas wrote, quoting unnamed diplomatic sources. “These are complete fabrications,” Tanjug was told by Tadic's office. "There was no talk of any partition of Kosovo at the meeting of the Serbian president and U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in New York," said the office, adding all other claims from unnamed sources were also untrue.
