Serbia expects the UN Security Council to voice its view on unacceptability of violent attempts to change the situation in Kosovo, Tanjug has learned. The next UN Security Council session scheduled for August 29 will be attended by Serbia's Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic. Serbia expects UNSC to point to unacceptability of violence Although this is a regular UN Security Council session held every three months, this time the emphasis will be laid on the situation in north Kosovo and unilateral violent acts by the Pristina authorities. Serbia's goal is to present its position that it is unacceptable to change the situation in the field by violent acts, and to underline that this should not repeat, Tanjug was told by the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Serbia to the UN. It is of utmost importance to stress the unacceptability of violent acts for the sake of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, which is to be continued on September 2. Such a view of the UN Security Council can be expressed in a form of presidential statement. Furthermore, Serbia will again call on the UN Security Council to adopt the resolution which would approve an UN-led probe into the human organ trafficking in Kosovo, but it will not insist on a final decision to be made during the very session. At the August 29 session, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon will submit a regular report on the situation in Kosovo for the period between April 16 and July 15 that is before Pristina's unilateral attempt to take control over two administrative checkpoints in the north of the province. The session will be an opportunity for new UNMIK Acting Head Farid Zarif to learn about the latest crisis in Kosovo and for the ambassadors to voice the stands of their countries.
