KFOR commander Erhard Buehler said Wednesday that the agreement on the north of Kosovo will be in effect until the dialogue is resumed in Brussels. Reports said that the German general who heads the NATO force in the province told Pristina-based Radio Television Kosovo that the deal was "not fully implemented". "Agreement in effect until dialogue resumption in Brussels" Buehler said that the new situation in the north was unacceptable to "radical criminal elements, as they previously gained millions". The KFOR commander announced the creation of a commission which would comprise representatives of KFOR, EULEX and the Kosovo police, who will discuss organizing a meeting with the Serbian side on defining cadastral and administrative boundaries in the north. "Talks with Serbian forces on this issue will be held on August 31," Buehler was quoted as saying. He added that the road blockade near the Rudare village was still in place, but that alternative routes were opened for KFOR soldiers. "KFOR is looking for the perpetrators of the murder of members of a special unit of the Kosovo police and of setting fire at Jarinje checkpoint," he said. Buehler reiterated that Jarinje is controlled by KFOR, and that Brnjak checkpoint is controlled by KFOR, EULEX and Kosovo police. Erhard Buehler (file)
