Borislav Stefanovic said Pristina's attempt to take control of administrative crossings in northern Kosovo was an attempt to confront Serbs with a done deal. According to the Kosovo dialogue Belgrade team head, the Kosovo Albanian authorities also violated the agreement on the dialogue. "Pristina's move violated agreement on dialogue" In an interview for Vienna daily Presse, Stefanovic stressed this was completely unacceptable and contrary to the agreement on the dialogue, which says there can be no unilateral changing of the current situation. Commenting on the accusation from the Pristina government that Belgrade backed out when an agreement on the Kosovo customs stamp was close at hand, Stefanovic said Pristina's insistence on reaching an agreement by the end of July was an attempt at blackmail. He explained that conditions and deadlines cannot be imposed on the dialogue, saying it is better to find a good solution a month later then an immediate solution which cannot be implemented. Stefanovic said Belgrade was not blocking the passage of goods from Kosovo, but the southern province must use the same stamp it had when it joined CEFTA - UNMIK Kosovo. If they change the stamp, we need an agreement about that, he added. Stefanovic said he still believed in a solution through talks. "The problem is someone is Pristina lost patience. And where there is an action, there is always a reaction. But we need to overcome the situation and finally go back to the table," he said. Asked about the mood among Serbs in Kosovo, he said nobody wants violence, but people are upset. "The situation in northern Kosovo is different than in the south. Just as we accept that Albanians in the south do not want to live under Serbia's sovereignty, Pristina needs to accept that people in the north do not want to live under the sovereignty of an Albanian state," he said.
