Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) deputy leader Slavica Djukic-Dejanovic says the SPS would like to form a coalition with the Democratic Party (DS) after election. She added that it depended on the election results. SPS, DS “can succeed without each other” "Would we like to ally with the democrats after the elections? Yes, because we have started some important projects, some of which will not be complete until 2012 and 2013. Can the DS and SPS claim with certainty that they cannot succeed without each other? Of course not," she told reporters. She pointed out that the results of the elections would dictate coalitions. "If someone tells you now they are certain they will or will not form a coalition with another party, they either lack political experience or do not believe their word themselves," Djukic-Dejanovic noted. “The SPS will offer the Party of United Pensioners of Serbia (PUPS) and United Serbia (JS) to stay in their current coalition, but it is up to those parties to determine their own political interest,” she stated.
