Culture minister in conflict of interest
The Anti-Corruption Agency says that Culture Minister Predrag Marković cannot be both minister and Stubovi kulture publishing company editor at the same time.

The Anti-Corruption Agency says that Culture Minister Predrag Markovic cannot be both minister and Stubovi kulture publishing company editor at the same time. The Agency has due to a conflict of interest ordered the minister to stop performing his duties at the publishing company in the next 30 days. Culture minister in conflict of interest The Anti-Corruption Agency has also rejected Markovic’s request to be allowed to do the second job after it concluded that the minister could directly decide on the publishing company’s rights and obligations. According to the announcement, the minister is in charge of improving culture and arts and providing financial means for improvement of culture, literature, publishing etc. This way Markovic could possibly end up in a situation in which his personal interests could affect his public duties and jeopardize public interests, the Anti-Corruption Agency pointed out. If the culture minister does not comply with the request, the Anti-Corruption Agency could issue a warning and public recommendation to relieve him of his duty, it is said in the announcement.
