PM Mirko Cvetkovic met on Monday in Nicosia with Speaker of the Parliament of Cyprus Giannakis Omirou. The Serbian prime minister underlined that his country had made "great progress in the process of EU integration". Support for Serbia's EU bid, opposition to Kosovo UDI That is Serbia's foreign policy priority along with development of regional cooperation, said he. Cvetkovic said he strongly believed that Cyprus understood the aspirations of Serbia in all areas and will, within its means, continue to contribute to their achievement. Omirou said that Cyprus will unambiguously support Serbia’s European integration, especially in the second half of 2012 when it assumes the EU Presidency. He added that his country will also continue to resolutely oppose the recognition of Kosovo’s independence. The two officials agreed that the Tuesday Serbia - Cyprus Business Forum will create possibilities for economic cooperation and encounters of businessmen. At the Business Forum the Serbian Prime Minister will address directors and representatives of the most important companies and call on them to invest in Serbia.
