Head of the Belgrade team in Kosovo dialogue Borko Stefanovic briefed on Wednesday in Belgrade the Parliamentary Committee for Kosovo and Metohija. He told the committee that the talks in Brussels have entered the phase of achieving the first specific agreements, which can be expected on June 14 and 15. "First agreements in next Kosovo talks round" "We expect the first outcome of the negotiations to result in agreements on free movement, the cadastre and civil registry books," he said. The solutions proposed by Belgrade have already received support from the international community, Stefanovic said, adding that new topics will "probably not be opened in the next round of talks on June 14 and 15". Referring to frequent media speculations, he pointed out that nothing has been agreed yet, and that the recent visit of EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Catherine Ashton had nothing to do with making agreements with Pristina, i.e., Kosovo's Albanians, concrete. Committee members inquired about the details regarding the recent visit Stefanovic paid to Pristina, and asked him a series of questions on the issue of partition of Kosovo, which appears in the media. Stefanovic said that there is complete unity of the Serbian government regarding the negotiations, and that one should not disseminate information that confuse citizens and weaken the negotiating position of Belgrade. "One should listen to what the president, prime minister and minister for Kosovo and Metohija, as well as the relevant committee, are saying," he suggested. "First of all, no one will sign anything. Any deal can only be implemented through decisions of the government and under the supervision of Brussels," said Stefanovic. (Tanjug)
