The opposition Serb Radical Party (SRS) will hold a protest rally against the arrest of Ratko Mladic on Sunday evening in Belgrade. According to announcements, SRS will call for the resignation of Serbian President Boris Tadic, and government’s dismissal. Radicals announce protest over Mladic arrest The protest is scheduled for 19:00 CET in front of the National Assembly in Belgrade. The SRS expects to get permission from police to hold the rally. SRS deputy leader Dragan Todorovic has announced that the Radicals will file a motion for dismissal of the government and Tadic’s resignation for “brutal violation of the Constitution”. He pointed out that the party would ask for Democratic Party of Serbia (DSS) support for the initiative. Todorovic has called on “all patriotic citizens” to express their disagreement with the government’s actions and Mladic’s arrest at a peaceful protest. The rally will be dubbed “Cooperation with the Hague Tribunal is treason of Serbia”. SRS deputy leader Gordana Pop-Lazic said earlier that it was up to police to make sure that the rally goes peacefully and that the Radicals had the right to call on people to gather and say what they think about Mladic’s arrest. The Radicals expect that the Serbian police will give their permission to stage the rally, unless “a state of emergency has been introduced in Serbia”.

The protest is scheduled for 19:00 CET in front of the National Assembly in Belgrade. The SRS expects to get permission from police to hold the rally.
