Boris Tadic says the violence in Pristina during Borko Stefanovic's working visit "does not contribute to resolution of problems between Albanians and Serbs". Serbia's reaction, he told Tanjug on Friday, "has to be a peaceful one". Dialogue with Pristina to continue "rationally" “Any kind of violence in these circumstances does not contribute to resolution of problems between Albanians and Serbs. Serbia's reaction has to be peaceful at this moment, and we should continue to conduct the dialogue in a fully rational manner in order to solve problems of people,” the Serbian president underlined. Tadic said that the problems in the Western Balkans have to be solved, including one of the biggest issues - Kosovo. “Creation of new tensions and violence can only deteriorate the situation. The issue of Kosovo and Metohija has to be resolved in a peaceful manner which does not mean that Serbia is renouncing its legitimate national interests, while at the same time we have to understand the needs of the (ethnic) Albanian population,” the Serbian president said. Stefanovic's stay in Serbia's southern province on Thursday was accompanied by demonstrations in the streets of Pristina organized by the ethnic Albanian Self-Determination Movement which left 15 policemen and six protesters injured. Stefanovic heads the Belgrade team in the ongoing Kosovo dialogue.
