Belgrade team chief in talks with Pristina Borko Stefanovic said after his visit to Kosovo on Thursday that the negotiating teams discussed "real problems". This happened as they realized that the different opinions regarding the status of Serbia's southern province should not be in the forefront, he was quoted as saying. "Real problems have priority in Kosovo talks" "We have very efficiently discussed real problems and we were aware that our different standpoints on the status should not be in the forefront and that in this kind of atmosphere and in normal communication we should solve these problems," Stefanovic told the state broadcaster RTS, Beta news agency reported. He said that Belgrade's negotiating team upheld its national interests in spite of the protests in Pristina that took place during the meeting of the two delegations. "Despite the unwanted riots that took place during our visit and the attack on our vehicle, we maintained our national interests, and defended and represented our sovereignty," Stefanovic said.
