Rasim Ljajic says he expects "a realistic" report from Chief Hague Prosecutor Serge Brammertz, "that will not block Serbia's EU path". Brammertz is due to submit his regular report to the UN Security Council in June. Brammertz report "won't block EU path" Ljajic, who presides over Serbia's council for cooperation with the court, told Belgrade-based daily Danas that his optimism was based on "fruitful and good cooperation when it comes to availability of archives and freeing witnesses of obligations to guard state secrets". Asked whether he expected new pressures because former military leader of Serbs in Bosnia Ratko Mladic and former political leader of Serbs in Croatia Goran Hadzic are yet to be arrested, Ljajic noted that Serbia was "under a series of pressures in the past years". "Serba knows even without pressures what its obligations are toward the Hague Tribunal and that EU integrations are conditions with extraditing Mladic and Hadzic as soon as possible", said he. "This obligation will not go away, with pressures or without them," concluded Ljajic, who is also a minister in the current government.
